About A.R.M.F.

Associació per a la Reconstrucció i Posta en Servei de Material Ferroviari Històric (Association for rebuilding and putting operational Historial Railway Rolling Stock, from now on ARMF) is a non-profit entity, whose purpose is to recover railway vehicles that have become first-class historical pieces –whether by its characteristics or building– that deserve to be restored for run again on our tracks.

Founded in 1996, ARMF has developed lots of technical proyects that have allowed us to start an Historical Train with the sponsorship of Diputación Provincial de Lleida and her Tourism Board, the collaboration of Fundación de los Ferrocarriles Españoles - Museo del Ferrocarril (Spanish Railways Foundation - Railway Museum) and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC, Catalonia Government Railways).

Since 1996, we are also working in rolling stock repair for third party, given that we count on the unique specialized workshop in our country in this kind of works.

In the course of time, we are increasing our work capability in the workshop, through the help of additional technical and human means, so that we are also able for acting as consultants in railway Restoration projects.

Our location

We carry out all the restoration works, as soon as scheduled overhaul of Historical Train rolling stock under our custody, in our Workshop in Pla de Vilanoveta Station.
